Anchor is currently seeking candidates for the following positions:

Structural Engineering Project Manager
10+ years experience, P.E., knowledge of bridge and retaining wall construction practices and techniques required.  CTDOT & Microstation experience desired.  Work includes coordination of professional design stall, proposal and planning efforts, structural condition assessments, structure type studies, bridge replacement and rehabilitation design, miscellaneous structure designs, preparation of estimates and contract documents, monitoring of project scope and progress, construction phase services, project communication with CTDOT staff, utility companies, adjoining property owners, etc.  Project owners include CTDOT, municipalities, utility companies and private entities.  Building and retaining wall experience desirable.  IBC, BOCA, and CT Supplement experience desirable.

Civil Engineer / Site Designer
Immediate opening for a Civil/Site Engineer with 2 1/2 to 6 years of experience. Responsibilities of this position may include site layout and grading, roadway and highway design for commercial, residential, municipal and Connecticut Department of Transportation projects, preparation of construction plans, specifications, quantity and cost estimates, and drainage and utility layout for these projects.  A demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of design teams for larger projects desired. Review agency contact experience desirable.  BSCE, P.E., or E.I.T. and CAD experience desired. Candidate with Landscape Architecture, Geography/Urban Planning or related degree and demonstrated civil/site experience will be considered.  MicroStation experience preferred.  Strong technical and organizational skills, familiarity with AASHTO, CTDOT design practices, including DDE, and knowledge of construction procedures desired.

Construction Inspector
Field Inspector position.  Preferred candidate has NICET Level III or IV certification or CT P.E. license as well as 4+ years of field experience, and working knowledge of CTDOT five volume standard system of recordkeeping (include CIDD, DWR, CON-40, etc.).  Special Inspection, IBC BOCA, Connecticut Supplement, steel and concrete construction methods and materials testing knowledge a plus.  Building, retaining wall, and equipment support framing construction knowledge desired.  Shop drawings and submittal review, measurement and payment responsibilities with position.  Familiarity with State of Federal Local Bridge Program a plus.  NETTCP, ACIT, etc. certifications preferred.

Entry Level Land Surveyor
Math and map reading aptitude, ability and willingness to work outside year round required. Field data collector, total station, GPS experience desired, but the company will train the right person.  Must have valid driver's license.
